The Poltse culture originated in the Amur basin the Krounovka culture was centered in the southern parts of Primorye. The analysis is based on the archaeological materials from the multilayered site of Bulochka, a large settlement in the southern part of the Russian Maritime Region (Primorye) dating from the Early Iron Age (the last centuries BC – the fi rst centuries AD), as well as. Benefits of multidisciplinary approach on the site of Kaštelina will be preliminary presented, stressing out the importance of gathered data for the general understanding of Late Iron Age settlements and their internal organisation in a wider context. Archaeological excavations that followed the geophysical survey resulted in unearthing remains of a dwelling together with its associated outdoor facilities. Multidisciplinary methods of research included ground penetrating radar and magnetometer together with the implementation using Amplitude Data Comparison (ADC) method which resulted in detecting remains of Late Iron Age building structures distributed over the northwest side of the Stolac promontory. This is the first published detailed description of vessels, plural workmanship and decoration types, and of the context of the finds. The assemblage has been classified as settlement pottery and is important forthe study of the everyday life of people in the Iron Age settlement. The assemblage from trenches 63 and 71 with well-preserved cultural layers, excavated in 1969, was selected for analysis. The paper reveals the preliminary results of an analysis of Liburnian pottery unearthed in the archaeological campaign at Beretinova Gradina near Radovin. ![]()
